This is a reason knowledge is relative, for what we know leads to not-knowing, so any clarity is relative. Yet, knowing is not relative ~ I have written of this often, in past works, those works can be read on this matter of knowing. Knowledge, which is of the intellect, or reason, is not knowing, knowing being an unmediated certainty of Truth, of Presence, and all Its Qualities. Knowledge results from reasoning, knowing not. Revelation, then, is knowing, while knowledge may be instrumental in leading to Revelation, especially when the faith in knowledge implodes, reasoning having reached its limits and found to be insufficient.

Truth, living, leads us to curious openness, receptivity to come to know, and knowing is itself only a fragment of knowing Totally the Totality. Discovery leads to discovery, Grace to Grace. Love purifies and awakens us in our response of loving-ignorance.

I wrote, yesterday, of that encounter with Grace on the mountain. On the mountain, walking the trail, all happening and the spaciousness provided a context for receptivity. That embodied effort and the beauty about, provided a moving revelation, even the stopping, the laughter, the tears were parts of the one-flow of Grace, of Revelation, occurring. My participation in it all was essential to the Revelation, as Revelation is inclusive of the whole context providing the opening of the Temple door.

This pertains to a matter I could put into terms of Christian or Buddhist worldviews. In Christian thought, God is "Nothing." That is, God is, so is no-thing. God is, hence, emptiness, Emptiness. Here, we meet with Buddhist teaching on "Emptiness." This No-Thing, or Emptiness, is not a stale, impotent void. Rather, this No-Thing is the potency, the timeless potential, of all thingness, as matters manifests in a potentially infinite variety of shapes, colors, sizes, ... So, Emptiness is alive, is Aliveness, ever-creative, for all form is moment-to-moment disappearing and reappearing. What is behind all of this thingness? Thingness cannot itself do this, only result, again and again, from Nothing, for no-thing. Yet, a thing, a form, cannot create a no-thing, a no-form.

So, the mountain and the chair, are things, things inviting me, you, beyond explanation to curiosity, to the Mystery present and inviting us by Its very Presence to receive and participate in Unveiling. This invitation is on-going, like Life itself, inviting us to the Formless, through forms. Yet, most persons see only a mountain, some see only an empty chair, and, for them, that is the end of it. Some see, so know, More.
